March Empties

Well, it's time for another monthly empties post. I have three products again - they're all concealers! So let's see..

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: I used the shade Sand Sable as it coordinated with my Fit Me foundation shade. I stopped using the foundation as winter came because I found it was becoming too dark but I did continue to use the concealer.. I did quite like it. It's a pretty good concealer.

Would I buy it again..? Hmm, perhaps. I like trying out different concealers, and also I'm quite happy with my PhotoReady concealer at the moment.

CoverGirl Fresh Complexion Concealer: I used the shade Creamy Beige. I've had this concealer for quite a long time, actually. Some of you may say "Gross, you should have thrown that out!" It was fine, though. Now I looked this up because the name had rubbed off on the packaging.. And it actually say that this is for combo/oily skin and is named as an under-eye concealer. Now, I don't have oily skin but this has always worked fine for me. I found it did work best for concealing the under-eyes.. Not as well for redness or other imperfections..

Would I buy it again..? CoverGirl was one of the very first concealers I used.. Just not this specific one. I don't really think I would repurchase, though. It was alright and I think I preferred the Fit Me concealer.

NYC Cover Stick: Alright, this is super old. Older then the Fresh Complexion. Go ahead, you can go "Gross! You should have thrown that out long ago, too!" Oh well, it still worked perfectly fine. I'm pretty sure this is the first concealer I've ever used.. Not this particular tube, though. I'm pretty sure that the packaging has changed on these now, so yeah.. It's pretty old. One day during March, though I just happened to come across it in my collection and decided to use it.. I really liked the coverage it provided and I continued to use it until it was all gone. It's because of this that I got really interested in stick concealers.. It did drag and tug a bit on the skin, but I really liked it otherwise. I believe that I used the shade Medium.

Would I buy again..? No, I don't think so. My PhotoReady is basically my HG concealer stick.. and perhaps my HG concealer overall at the time.

March Favourites!

Alright, so it's time for monthly favorites again! I have only six products this month, and they are...

From left to right is Avon's Moisture Therapy cream, Benefit's Triple Performing Facial Emulsion, Avon's Mocha Latte quad and Revlon's PhotoReady concealer. And in the front is Benefit's Total Moisture facial cream and Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Too Cool.

Let's begin with..

Avon Moisture Therapy: So my mother actually had ordered a beauty pack from Avon which included this cream!  It says it's an intensive treatment, extra strength cream for extra dry skin. At the time my hands were super dry and cracked.. I tried a lot of creams and lotions etc. that I already owned but none took care of them and actually stung.. So I decided to try this.. Within a few days of using it my hands were completely healed! No more cracks or unbearable dryness. It was a lifesaver! I use it on the rest of my body, as well and it's great! My only complaint is the smell.. It smells like baby wipes and diapers.. Not the best thing to smell like.. It fades pretty quickly, though so it's not a big problem!

Benefit Triple Performing Facial Emulsion: I already raved about this! I love it! You can't tell in the picture because it's shaken up but the bottle is half gone - and it's making me very sad! I just love this so much. So moisturizing and you only need a very small amount.. It just sinks into the skin so quickly and you can feel it working in seconds.. I love using this as my daily moisturizer before applying makeup!

Avon Mocha Latte Quad: Yep, another Avon product! I use this daily, it's make for a great very natural look. There are three matte shades and one shimmery shade! Pigmentation is alright, as well as staying power.. Not the best but it's okay for me for daily wear!

Revlon PhotoReady Concealer: I just recently wrote a review for this here! I love it! Best concealer I've used!

Benefit Total Moisture: I've raved about this as well! I love it so much! There's only the tiniest amount left and I'm trying my best to make it last as long as I can! I do have another jar, but I just love it so much! Like with the Facial Emulsion you only need a little and it sinks in so fast, and you just feel it working like immediately. I like to use this at night!

Maybelline Color Tattoos: Now I loved all of my Color Tattoos this month..! I just found that I used Too Cool the most. I like to use it for highlighting, and if it isn't being very stubborn, as a base on my eyelids. I also wrote a review on the Color Tattoos which you can read here!

Avon Spring Collection 2012

So I decided to try out a few of the things from Avon's spring collection. They looked gorgeous and they were on for half the price at the time, so I went for it..!

There was a selection from Soft & Smoky (plums & greys) and Warm & Bright (woods & apricots.). Each had one eyeshadow quad, two lipsticks and two nail polishes. The colors in the Warm & Bright items appealed to me more so I picked up four of them - the quad, polishes and one of the lipsticks. The other lipstick was a nude, cream beige that didn't quite interest me as much so I passed on it.

So I guess we'll start with the polishes.. From left to right is Apricot Mystery and Illusion. Now I almost didn't get Illusion.. I'm glad that I did, though. You'll see why..!

Apricot Mystery is a super pretty peachy pink! It's also kind of a little almost coral, as well. That's the best and most simple way I think I can explain! I really like it and painted all my nails this color after taking these pictures! It's a great color for spring, and would be awesome in the summer as well!

Now Illusion.. First off, I really didn't want to post this picture, haha! My nails are so messy here. I hate to name excuses, but I did paint them with my left hand for one.. You all know I'm super impatient with polish and suck at painting them in general.. So I kept smudging them and messing them up.. So I had to retouch and paint again quickly because there was somewhere very important that I had to be.. And I didn't have time to clean up with a q-tip or anything. So I apologize for the messy nails, I really do! I almost cringe to look at it, so I hope you're okay!

Anyway, Illusion is.. awesome. I was super on the fence about it but decided "what the heck" and did. I'm happy that I did - it's so cool! It's just a pale, pastel green.. The cool thing though is that it's like reflective! Is that the right word? I'm not sure how to describe it and I really wish that I could! I'm also really upset that I couldn't get the effect to show up in pictures..! I took so many but none of them captured it right. Perhaps you can see it slightly, though. Anyway, depending on how the light hits, there can be light lavender, lilac and just generally purple shimmer reflects! Oh my goodness, I just wish I knew how to describe it properly! It's so pretty! It's kind of like OPI's Not Like the Movies from the Katy Perry collection.. Not in color obviously, but like the same effect! You could also compare to Hard Candy's Beetle or Chanel's Peridot. It just has a very subtle shimmer that I believe comes solely from the reflects..

Now for the Apricot Mystery lipstick. I've never tried Avon's lipsticks before so it was nice to try one out. Apricot Mystery is an Ultra Color Rich Lipstick. Now first of all, I can say that the picture of this in the campaign book is quite misleading. In the book it shows it to look more similar to the Apricot Mystery polish and looks much more pink and just, to be simple, lighter. It is still a pretty shade, just not what I was expecting.. I was a bit disappointed with it, though.

Here it is on my lips.. This photo is not retouched or anything (just the watermark was added), so the color is not altered! (I didn't realize those teeny pimples were that noticeable. Darn! Gotta clear those up! They literally came out of no where, wah!)

Anyway, perhaps you can't tell from this.. but the color is very, very sheer. You can't really see in the picture but it has some subtle shimmer that looks purple. It's pretty noticeable on the bottom lip. Anyway, it just gives my natural lips the teeniest hint of color and some shine. .The finish and all reminds me more of a tinted lipbalm or a lipgloss. It's just very subtle. It didn't specify it was a sheer shade or anything, so I was a bit disappointed. It's still pretty, though and adds something nice and subtle to your natural lips.

So I was kind of disappointed with this lipstick, but I can't vouch for all Avon lipsticks. I actually sell Avon so I can have a little pocket money.. And tons of ladies, basically my whole customer base, buys and repurchase the lipsticks. So perhaps this just isn't their best.

One other thing to add, though is that this lipstick has a scent. It's kind of that generic lipstick smell (which I don't really like.. like the smell of the L'oreal lipsticks in the gold tubes..) but kind of.. fruity, as well. For lack of a better word.. It doesn't bother me, though. I think it may remind me of the scent of the Rimmel lipsticks by Kate Moss, but I don't entirely remember how those smelt, haha.

And last is the quad in Mystery. The colors looked soooo gorgeous, and I knew if I had to pick just one item to try it would be this one! Again, though, I was a disappointed..

So this quad has a special case, where as the other True Color quads are just all black. I have two of them in Caribbean Sunset and Mocha Latte.. I love Mocha Latte and use it daily. I had only ever swatched Caribbean Sunset to be honest, though..

So here's a closer look at the shades. Top left is Purple Hazed, top right is Apricot Reflection, bottom left is Apricot Mystery, and bottom right is Glistening Woods.

They're super pretty, aren't they? They almost remind me of some of the shades in the Smashbox Be Discovered palette (They were out in stores, so I had to purchase online - it's on its way!!). I was super excited about this palette, but like I said.. I was a bit disappointed.

So here are the swatches.. From left to right is Purple Hazed, Apricot Reflection, Apricot Mystery and Glistening Woods. As you can see, the lighter colors are really quite sheer and are mostly shimmer. I swatched a ton of times trying to get a nice color payoff, and caused a ton of fallout trying to get the color. I suppose they could work for subtle highlighting or just for a very natural look.. The darker shades are more pigmented but it took a couple swipes and some serious swirling to get it. I suppose you could say the darker shades are kind of buildable. It took only one wipe with my hand though and these were gone.. The darker shades stayed, but just very, very faintly. The lighter shades were totally gone, though.

Now with my other quads, the lighter shades are, well, lighter.. They're more sheer, but I wouldn't say as sheer as these ones. And again, the darker shades seem more pigmented and have better payoff. I wear the Mocha Latte quad daily though and it holds up quite well throughout the day.

I swatched these on just a regular sheet of white paper after, to try and show the lighter colors a bit better.. Left to right is Apricot Reflection, Purple Hazed, Apricot Mystery and Glistening Woods.

Perhaps there's a film over these, and I need to break the shadows in a bit in order to get a slightly better payoff.. But I didn't have that problem with Mocha Latte.

Regardless, though, I'm still kind of excited to use this.. The darker shades are very pretty.

In the end, though, I'm glad that I didn't pay full price for these. The polishes are awesome, but I don't think I'd be too sad if I had passed on the lipstick and quad.

In case you are interested here are the prices..
Polishes: $3.49 but will be $6.99
Lipstick: $3.99 but will be $7.99
Quad: $6.99 but will be $9.99

Just to let you know, these products were purchased with my own money and these are my honest opinions! I think you can tell, haha.. Just because I sell Avon I didn't want anyone to think I'd sugarcoat things! ^.^

Review! Revlon Photoready Concealer

Today I'll be reviewing the PhotoReady concealer by Revlon! This is by far definitely the best stick concealer I've ever tried and I think it may be the best concealer I've tried in general!

Here is what Revlon has to say about the product:
-"All over face concealer helps erase imperfections and camouflage dark undereye circles"
-"Full yet undetectable coverage"
-"Photochromatic pigments bend, reflect and diffuse light"
-"SPF 20"

I use the shade Light Medium and it's a great match for me!  There are six shades in the line ranging from fair to deep, and I think almost anyone would be able to find a nice match.

Left; Unblended/Right; Blended

Now one of the things I absolutely love about this concealer is that it's so incredibly creamy and smooth! Stick concealers can usually be a bit hard and tricky and can drag on your skin - this one just glides onto the skin, though! It glides so smoothly and doesn't drag or tug on your skin one bit. I find most stick concealers can especially drag and tug under the eyes, but this doesn't even there! It just glides on flawlessly anywhere on your face. And it's so easy to blend! Most stick concealers can be a little tricky to try to blend.. Well, not this one! You can easily blend this with either your fingers or a brush! I never imagined that a stick concealer could be so smooth, creamy and easy to blend! I love this stuff! Amazaaah!

Besides that, it also gives great coverage! Buh-bye dark undereye circles! Glide this baby on, blend it and bam! No more dark circles! The first time I used it all I could think was, "This is freaking awesome!"  It really does help to erase and camouflage darkness and imperfections. It does an awesome job concealing my dark spots I have from picking at my acne way back when! And also at concealing the redness I have from raised scars and bumps caused by the same thing! Unfortunately, it does not conceal texture.. But you can't really do that with any product. If something like that ever comes out I'll be all over it, though..!

With other concealers I've used, as the day goes on my dark marks and redness would begin to show through a bit. PhotoReady hardly fades! It concealed my dark marks and redness great and by the end of the day it had only begun to fade a little bit! Also with other concealers I've used it can begin to look a bit flaky/cakey and dry on my forehead where the raised scars and bumps are.. This would get only ever so slightly that way by the end of the day and I could only notice getting as close to a mirror as I possibly could! I really love it and am quite impressed by how it conceals my dark marks and scars and holds up.

I would say that this is medium coverage but can be built up! Whether you blend it in with your fingers or a brush it really is quite "undetectable"! It looks quite natural and it just blends beautifully!

Now, I don't notice any shimmer or anything like with the PhotoReady foundation.. Which is good because I don't want to look like Edward Cullen.. This doesn't accentuate and dry spots I may have, though. It works, though because my imperfections are basically gone!

And as for SPF 20 - awesome! Gotta protect that face!

So just all in all this is a really great concealer and I love it! I prefer it over liquid concealers and any concealer I have owned! I think that I would definitely repurchase! Well, let's go to pros and cons..

-glides on and blends like a dream
-looks pretty natural
-conceals like a boss
-holds up very well with or without a primer!
-great coverage and is buildable
-nice packaging (your standard twist up stick concealer)

-can get ever, ever so slightly cakey on raised scars/bumps as the day goes on
-can sometimes settle into fine lines under the eyes (This only happens to me 1 time out of 10, and I believe it's because I hadn't moisturized well enough under my eyes! Whenever it ever does happen to me, though it happens while I'm still applying my makeup, so all you need to do it lightly blend it again and bam! Never happens again!)

The cons don't really bother me but I thought I need to let you know anyway! So, I love this concealer. I'm sure you've figured that out by now!

Review! Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadows

Today I will be reviewing Maybelline's Color Tattoo eyeshadows! I had gotten three of the colors in this recent gets post back in February. I had picked up the shades Tough as Taupe, Too Cool and Bad to the Bronze! I've now had time to try them out and it's time for a review!

So from left to right is Tough as Taupe, Too Cool and Bad to the Bronze. I quite like the packaging. I really like the glass pots. You get 4g of product. You don't need very much so I can see these lasting for a very long time - I have been using them daily and have hardly made a dent!

So the first picture is actually the bottom of the jar, I guess! The black part with the product information screws off to get to the product. This concept kind of reminds me of L'oreal's Infallible eyeshadows where you see can the product and color on the bottom.. on the more appealing side!

Tough as Taupe is a matte, shroomy taupe color. It is the shade that I had been most attracted to!

Too Cool is a shimmery white that can sometimes come off as a little silvery or greyish.

And Bad to the Bronze is a beautiful, shimmery deep, golden bronze color!

I apply these using either my fingers or a somewhat short and dense eyeshadow brush or concealer brush. These are buildable! So you can apply these as just a light wash of color or build them up to make them more opaque!

Here is Tough as Taupe, Too Cool and Bad to the Bronze applied lightly as just a wash of color.

So with your fingers these are very creamy and smooth with the exception of Too Cool.. No matter what I always end up with little clumps of product.. It always seems to build up in just one spot and it can be quite hard to try and blend out. I haven't had this problem with the other two shades though, they have been wonderful!

And using a denser brush you can pick up more color onto your lid than with your fingers, so I always use a brush if I want the color to be more opaque.

Here they are swatched more heavily! I'm not sure if you can see it but on Too Cool you can kind of see where it clumps up at the bottom of the swatch and it is very stubborn to blend out.

Tough as Taupe and Bad to the Bronze swatch and blend out very easily and smooth, where Too Cool needs to be built up much more and can apply pretty patchy or streaky. I originally bought the shade intending to use it as a base but I usually just use it for highlighting because it's a bit too stubborn for me to apply to the lid.

Now onto staying power! These claim to stay for 24 hours.. but I don't know who would wear their makeup for that long..! These do have excellent staying power, though and will last all day without fading or creasing even without a primer!

I kind of did a small test to test their staying power and was very impressed! I usually use some hand sanitizer to get off swatches but even with a generous amount these did not budge! The color didn't fade one bit or drag.. they literally didn't budge! No matter how hard I rubbed they just wouldn't budge! So then I got out the makeup remover!

First I tried out Clinique's Rinse Off eye makeup remover on a cotton swab on one side of the swatches. The first swipe picked up only the slightest amount of color, but otherwise it didn't budge! It took quite a few swipes to completely remove.

Then I used Lancome's Bi-Facil on the other side of the swatches.. It took off much more color on the first swipe than Clinique and definitely took less swipes to completely remove.

So then I tested using just soap and water. These didn't budge with the first wash.. And I had to scrub quite hard to get them off on the second wash! Even then, they were still faintly there. So staying power gets an A+!

So now let's just go to pros and cons!

-nice packaging
-awesome staying power!
-doesn't crease!
-smooth, creamy and easy to blend and apply
-you only need a little product so they will last you a very long time!

-Too Cool can be streaky, clumpy and patchy..
-I don't really have any other cons..!

So I really love the Color Tattoos and I use them everyday! I would love to see them add more colors.. I had heard they may add a few more neutrals.. So if that's true I'll be all over them!

I definitely recommend these, so give them a try!

Recent Gets

So today I want to share some recent gets I have from today and last week. It's not that much, just five things, but let's get to it..!

So last week I picked up that cute, golden ring at Suzy Shier on sale. I love rings but I never wear them much as accessories.. I just wear my daughter's pride. I'd love to get wearing some rings, though, and this one was so cute! And on sale, of course!

Last week I also picked up Revlon's Photoready concealer in Light Medium as I had used up all of my other concealers! I heard great things about it so I decided to pick it up and give it a shot. I'll be doing a review of it in the future.

I also picked up Revlon's Matte lipstick in Really Red last week. I don't usually buy on impulse but I love Revlon's mattes and the red just really caught my interest that day. I do love my matte lipsticks, and I had been interested in a matte red.. So, I guess it works out..! And let me tell you.. this stuff is red! It's more warm toned.. And it is the brightest, most red, warm toned lipstick I have! It stands out much, much more then all of my other red lipsticks.. So I'm a little unsure of where I will wear it.. Hopefully the occasion will arise.

And then today I picked up Gentle Toner by Nivea, which was another impulse buy.. I've been wanting to try a toner but have been unsure of which to try.. This one was fairly inexpensive and claims to be gentle and for dry to sensitive skin.. so we will see how it works out. I also liked that it was pink.. haha. There will most likely be a review for it in the future.

And then the last thing I picked up today was this cute dress from Stitches. I saw it in the window and just thought that it was adorable! I originally saw it in white, but they were all out of my size in that color. They had several other colors but this one was the only one with my size.. It was too cute to pass up so I got it! I may like the black better then the white now, though.. Not sure. Anyway, I can't wait to wear it for the spring!

Review! Maybelline Baby Lips

So I have another review today! Reena said that I should review Maybelline's Baby Lips so I decided that I will! So, let's start..

I have the Baby Lips in 005 Quenched, one of the two clear shades. I got this a few months ago, but have only used it for maybe a week... There was quite a lot of hype on these and a lot of people love them... Unfortunately, I do not.

The packaging is super cute and totally suckered me into purchasing.. That may be the only thing that I like, though. That and the fact that the price was fairly cheap.. As well as the fact that you get quite a lot of product! Unfortunately, though I do not think that it will ever get used up..

Here is what Maybelline claims..
-visibly renewed lips and 8 hour hydration
-exclusive lip renew formula with SPF 20
-protects and moisturizes lips for a full 8 hours
-after 4 weeks lips are visibly renewed and reborn

So, this glides very easily onto the lips.. Just like.. butter. It feels slimy and uncomfortable.. It just sits on top of my lips and doesn't really absorb or feel moisturizing. It makes my lips look oily and greasy and as if I had just eaten a ton of greasy Chinese food (Megan will understand this..).

Baby Lips in 'Quench' applied to my lips

It also definitely does not last for eight hours. It seems to just magically disappear or wipe away, and if the chance is that it absorbed it didn't do anything to help my lips. I found myself almost constantly reapplying every five or ten minutes. My lips were always left the same way.. dry and chapped.. Not very attractive, haha. I wouldn't even say that these lasted one hour for me.

Now for the SPF 20.. Great! Super! Gotta protect the lips, right? Unfortunately, though the balm has quite an awful SPF taste. Like sunscreen. Not pleasant. I really hate it and as I was trying to make myself like this product I would sit in fear of accidentally licking my lips and tasting that horrible taste! I really can't stand it.. And I couldn't get rid of the taste afterwards even after drinking water. Wah. I think that's the biggest factor I have to disliking these. I just cannot get over the taste. As for smell, it has a slight fruit smell but with SPF thrown in. Not something I'd go out of my way to smell, haha.

So I didn't like these and I don't think that I'd repurchase. Perhaps the tinted shades are nicer..? Anyway, let's go to pros and cons.

-super cute packaging..

-I don't think I will bother to fill this out..

So, in conclusion.. Sorry Baby Lips..! I think I'll stick with my EOS and Blistex.

Review! China Glaze Matte Magic Top Coat

Alright, let me tell you guys something... This stuff right here is the bomb dot com. It is most definitely magic and I now wonder where it's been all my life.

Okay, so here are my nails before using Matte Magic. Glossy shine as usual, right? Then I applied it to just my middle finger..

Do you see the difference? Excuse the messy nails and just focus on the magic! It's now been turned magically matte! Now for the rest of the nails..

Now all of my nails are magically matte with this magical top coat, yay!

So this matte top coat is clear! It doesn't quite look totally clear in the bottle, but it is. Good sign! It applied just like a normal base coat or top coat.. clear and easy.. And it only took about five seconds for it to dry and turn your polish matte! And they will stay matte! For a super long time, like a month and perhaps even longer!

I had another matte top coat by CND which I didn't like at all. It was almost opaque or something.. It was a bit goopy.. It applied with a foggy opaque-ness.. It didn't even dry that matte.. My nails would still be quite glossy.. and it would alter the color of my polish..! And if you didn't apply it perfectly even.. spots where you may have applied more would look like it had that thick, foggy almost opaque layer over it.. And it didn't go away. Very ugly. I was quite disappointed because it was the first matte top coat I had tried and it was pretty expensive..!

Then I came across this gem! I got the China Glaze one for under three dollars! I would buy the full size in a heartbeat, though! Cheaper and actually works! It's magic! If you want matte nails you need to get this! I cannot express enough how magical this stuff is! I absolutely love it!

So here is my second nail of the day post. Now you guys already know that I suck at painting nails and that I'm also super impatient while doing them. I promise that I'll clean these up after I publish this post..!

I used two coats of Steady as she Rose by OPI since it can apply a little thin and streaky.. I used the Matte Magic top coat again (where has this been all my life?!). And then I just used Sugar Sparkle by CND on my ring fingers.

Capital Colors by China Glaze!

So I'm sure you've all heard about the new line from China Glaze inspired by The Hunger Games by now! I haven't read the books myself, but these colors are gorgeous.

I must have Dress Me Up and Foie Gras! I really like Fast Track as well! Harvest Moon, Electrify and Luxe & Lush are pretty too! On Tuesday I'm definitely going to see if I can get my hands on Dress Me Up and Foie Gras, though. Those two caught my eye the first time I saw the colors and I've been obsessed with them ever since.

Have you gotten any of the Capitol Color polishes? If so, which ones? Or do you plan on getting any?

Review! Rimmel's Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss

So I have another review on a Rimmel product for you guys! Today I'll be reviewing the lipsticks by Kate Moss. I'd mentioned these earlier here. I had gotten two shades in 07 and 08.

08 and 07

We'll start with the packaging which I really like! It's just simple, sleek black packaging with Kate's signature in red and Rimmel's signature crown on top of the cap. I really love the red signature and feel as if it almost makes the tube look.. classier, for lack of a better word, haha. I really like sleek packaging, especially in black, so Rimmel has it down with these lipsticks.

Another thing about these lipsticks is that they have a scent. Personally, I find that it smells really good and I really like it, but I imagine that it could irritate some people. So if you don't like lipsticks with a scent I think I would advise staying away from these..

These  just glide onto the lips really smoothly, and are really nice and creamy. They're not drying at all and feel almost hydrating. They apply opaque and their finish is creamy and slightly glossy. It's a really nice finish and it feels quite nice on the lips.

I would have to say that these are definitely not lasting finish, though. If you're going to be eating, drinking, or even giving kisses, you can say goodbye to the color! It will come right off! I wore one of these to lunch on Sunday and the poor straw in my glass was just covered in a mauve mess. I found that if you aren't going to be doing any of these things, though that these lipsticks will last for quite a few hours. I went a good three of four hours wearing one of these without eating or drinking or anything and the color stayed quite well and true and kept it's original finish.

Here is 07 on my lips. No lipliner used.. 07 is a pretty natural shade. Sometimes I feel as if it has almost.. orange undertones or something (especially when viewing it in some pictures I was wearing it in). I'm not sure how to explain.. For the most part it's just a natural, pinky brown color. Very wearable and casual.

And here is 08. No lipliner used here, either.. 08 is also a pretty natural lip. It's just rosy, mauve color - very pretty and also very wearable and casual. I'd say it's a darker and brighter, but somewhat close color to the natural lips shade. I was wearing this in my review on Rimmel's Fix & Perfect which you can view here

Alright, so overview time..

-excellent packaging
-natural, pretty colors
-apply smooth and creamy
-has a lovely finish
-smells delicious...!

-will not last if eating, drinking or giving kisses

I think that that's the only con I have for these.. These aren't lipsticks that I would say you definitely need to try them out but if you're interested in them I would say to give them a shot! I do quite like them myself, and I may just pick up another one..

Day Ten!

Alright, so here's the final day of the makeup challenge! If I had $100 to spend on makeup what would I buy.. So there's a lot of things I'd love to buy..! So I just thought of a few things off of the top of my head I've been wanting recently..

Mary-Lou Manizer by TheBalm $24

Luminizing Black Mask by Boscia $34

Oh So Special palette by Sleek Makeup $10.50

Hoola by Benefit $28

And since we're running low on money, now I decided to just throw in..

Blush and Contour Duo by elf $3.00

So I've finished the 10 day challenge and I think you should give it a go as well! If you do, leave me a comment and I'll check it out!

Day Nine!

Today I'm doing day nine of the ten day makeup challenge! I haven't done it in a few days so I'll be finished up today! The ninth day is my nine step daily makeup routine. For daily makeup I keep it pretty natural and minimal.. Unless I'm going out I don't usually wear mascara, foundation or heavier eyeliner etc.. Anyway, let's get started.

Step One: I prep my face by moisturizing and priming my face. I've been currently using Benefit's Total Moisture Facial Cream and Rimmel's Fix & Perfect primer.

Step Two: I usually skip foundation and just conceal my dark undereye circles and any blemishes I have. I've currently been using a concealer stick by NYC.

Step Three: I always have to have defined brows! I usually fill them in with The Body Shop's eyebrow duo in 01.

Step Four:  I just apply a light wash of color over my entire lid.. I've been using the lightest color in Avon's True Color Quad in Mocha Latte.

Step Five: I then apply a darker shadow in my crease for a bit of definition.. I have been using the darkest color in the Mocha Latte quad.

Step Six: Then I contour a little bit.. I currently just use Rimmel's Maxi Bronzer in 003 Sun Queen.

Step Seven: Then I just highlight a bit on my cheeks, the bridge of my nose, forehead and chin. I usually use The Body Shop's Shimmer Waves in Peach.

Step Eight: I usually line the outer corners of my eyes just a tiny bit and then line my waterline and inner corners as well. I usually use Lancome's Le Crayon Kohl in Black Coffee for this.

Step Nine: And for the ninth step I just apply a nice lipbalm..! I usually use EOS lipbalm.. The one I currently use is in Summer Fruit.
