The Kissable Balm Stains have been compared to other higher end products such as Clinque's Chubby Sticks, which I own one of. I prefer my Chubby Stick but I'm really loving the Revlon for the shade..!
The Kissable Balm Stains are packaged almost exactly like Clinique's Chubby Sticks except Clinique is a bit shorter and has a silver cap.
I love the shade Crush but I'm not in love with the actual product and don't think that I would purchase another shade.. These have a minty scent that I'm not very fond of and it's also a bit harder and doesn't apply as nicely as my Chubby Stick. It's also not as moisturizing whereas I can get away with replacing my lip balm with my Chubby Stick.
It's a really lovely shade, though, isn't it? It's a great autumn shade and I see myself wearing it a lot this season.
Another problem is that it can settle into fine lines on the lips, though. It can also look a bit patchy, so be sure to moisturize and even exfoliate your lips if you need to. I don't have this problem with my Chubby Stick, but perhaps it's because the shade I have isn't as dark as Crush? Anyway, here are some lip swatches..
This is one of my six kitty cats, Sophie! ^-^
I applied the balm regularly in these photos.. You can wear it sheer as a light wash of color or you can build it up more heavily. I like to wear it all three ways!
I can't get over what a gorgeous color Crush is..! I really love it. I wish the formula was a bit more to my liking, though! It does stain just as it says, and the stain it leaves behind is quite nice. I find myself preferring to reapply it, though.
The Clinique Chubby Stick isn't a stain product, but it's quite similar to the Kissable Balm Stains so I may do a proper post comparing them in the future. I'm also going to have a look through my collection to see if I have anything similar to this shade..!
I purchased my Kissable Balm Stain from Wal-Mart for around $8-9, but they're also available here on Well.ca if you're interested. If you're Canadian they also offer free shipping on all Canadian orders!
So have you tried these out? If so, let me know what you think and if you've tried out any of the comparable products as well (such as the Chubby Stick)!
