March Favorites & Empties

I didn't really wear much makeup during March, and if I did it was just very simple and natural. I usually just did a bit of concealer, filled in my brows, highlighted my eyes, and used some mascara. Since I wasn't really using a bunch of different products this month I only have just a few favorites to share:

My first favorite is actually a duo, or two products combined: MAKE UP FOR EVER's Aqua Cream in Warm Beige with theBalm's Overshadow in No Money, No Honey layered over the top. The two of these products together are absolutely gorgeous, and were my go to shadow look this month!

Next is a sample size of Lancome's Hypnose Drama mascara. I really love Lancome mascaras and I love this one, too. It builds volume fast and also offers a fair amount of length. It was also my go to mascara for the month.

And my last favorite is Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. Ah, I almost forgot about how much I love this! It makes for a lovely wash of color on the lid, and is easy and fast to use. I'm glad I dug it out again!

Okie dokie, time for some empties..

I finally finished up a sample of Lancome's Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector. This was one of many products I used in hopes of helping the dark spots and such on my forehead (which have gotten a lot better since I first started this blog; no more bumps and the spots have really faded!). Since I tried out a handful of different products for that purpose though, I'm honestly not sure which, if any, worked. I think my forehead has gotten so much better mostly from regular exfoliating and usage of SPF! Anywho, I obviously won't be buying a full size of this seeing as it's $102 for 30ml or $132 for 50ml. I'll just stick to much cheaper products like a St Ives exfoliator to further improve my forehead, thank you!

Yet another bottle of Nivea's Gentle Toner hits the dust. Nothing new here!

My last empty is Avon's Anew Clinical Eye Lift Pro Dual Eye System. It comes with a gel to apply to the eyelid and brow bone area, and a cream for the undereye area. It claims that you'll see a dramatic lifted look in just seven days, and while I didn't see any dramatic results I did see them. It was a bit hard to tell but my undereye darkness did seem to improve a bit. As for the gel you could actually feel your skin tightening. What I didn't like about this was that you get more of the gel then the cream, and I finished up the cream long before the gel. It's not a bad product and I may come back to it in the future but I'd like to try out something new!

  2. Nice favorites and congrats on finishing off those products! Bad To The Bronze is a gorgeous shade so I can see why its one of your favorites! I have it too and love just applying it all over my lid whenever I don't have time to do my whole eye makeup routine. By the way, I nominated your blog for a Liebster Award!
