The Face Shop Milky Moisture Tint in 03 Apple Red Review & Swatches

The first product I'll be reviewing from my Korean Cosmetic Haul is this Milky Moisture Tint in the shade 03 Apple Red from The Face Shop. It comes in a cute, little cylindrical bottle with a doe-foot applicator and contains 4ml of product. Here's some info that I got from The Face Shop's website:

  • Milky emulsion type tint naturally permeates into lips without dryness or streaks
  • Contains more then 80% moisture, which gives a cooling sensation on application
  • Contains natural oils - brazil nut seed oil, jojoba oil, and mistletoe oil for nourishing lips

The shade is more of a coral then a red like the name suggests, and is great for the summer. Since it is a tint it does sheer out on the lips, but I find that you're able to build it up a bit more with two to three layers. The consistency is very thin and water-like, and feels nice and cooling upon application. It applies evenly for the most part but does have a tendency to stick to dry spots, so it's a good idea to either exfoliate or apply a balm beforehand. The tint stays put for several hours, but I find that after a while my lips start to get a bit dry despite being a "moisture tint".. It's a not a big deal to me though, because it's easily solved by either just reapplying or putting some lip balm on top. Overall, I really like it and I've been reaching for it a lot!

  1. The bottle is SO CUTE.
I love that colour. I see it as being a fun summer shade, too. I also find that a lot of tints tend to dry out the lips a bit, despite its moisturizing claims haha.
